Job summary

H2O Innovation Inc. is seeking a Principal Process Engineer for our Data Center in Anoka, MN to lead process design across project lifecycles from bids to commissioning.

The role requires expertise in membrane filtration, ion exchange, and other water treatment technologies, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in the water industry, excellent English communication, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• A degree in chemical, environmental, civil or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years experience as a process engineer in the water industry.
• Experience with membrane filtration treatment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ion Exchange experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of drinking and wastewater treatment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary design of water treatment plants based on projections and criteria.
• Collaborate closely with sales managers and engineering discipline teams.
• Prepare budget, preliminary and final (bid) cost estimates including bill of materials, equipment and controls.
• Prepare formal proposals for submittal to potential clients.
• Develop drawings of equipment and plant layouts; oversee designers.
• Create process drawings such as P&IDs and PFDs.
• Develop and present technical presentations on in-house projects to promote Company and water technologies at conferences and client meetings.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and provide operational assistance as requested.
• Travel to project sites and perform treatment process audits.
