Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Transformation Senior Process Engineer to serve as the technical lead for process and equipment design on a Strategic Capital Project. You will drive design decisions, equipment specifications, design accuracy, and risk management for the project, reporting to the Project Engineering Lead and Project Director.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 6+ years of engineering/operational experience; post-graduate degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline; 6+ years engineering/operational experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures; able to handle complex problems.
• Interacts with diverse groups and maintains relationships with internal and external collaborators; communicates effectively.
• Experience with financial systems and fiscal controls; able to balance cost and value in decisions.
• Regulatory knowledge and cGMP needs relevant to project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design decisions, equipment specifications, design accuracy, and risk management for strategic capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures; assess risk and implement fallback strategies.
• Plan and conduct high-impact projects within engineering, achieving financial targets and maintaining controls.
• Develop execution strategy including procurement and balancing multiple demands; understand customer needs.
• Represent engineering on corporate task forces and mentor other engineers or technicians.
