Job summary

Rochester Electronics, LLC seeks a Senior Process Engineer to work in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The role develops and documents manufacturing techniques, materials, tools and processes for back-end semiconductor assembly, performing analyses and selecting methods to improve yield and flows.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Microelectronics, Mechatronic Engineering, or Computer Science and at least 4 years in microelectronics or related industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Microelectronics, Mechatronic Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in microelectronics, semiconductor, medical equipment, or related industry.
• Semiconductor experience.

Responsibilities

• Establishes high yielding, cost effective processes based on product need and customer requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
• Develops and executes DOE for process optimization using statistics software (e.g., JUMP, Minitab, Excel Stats).
• Establishes processes based on product specifications.
• Evaluates and validates process and design alternatives based on manufacturability.
• Understands cost of goods sold and develops process improvements to increase cost effectiveness.
• Maintains communications with all levels, customers, contractors and vendors.
• No supervisory responsibility, but provides informal guidance and mentorship to new team members.
