Job summary

Eastman in Milton, Florida, is seeking a Process Engineer with 5+ years in chemical/petrochemical operations to support plant and office activities, safety and reliability initiatives. You'll lead capital projects from $25K to $6M, perform PHA/LOPA analyses, optimize energy and yield, and prepare MOC documents while collaborating with Operations and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
5+ years’ experience in chemical/petrochemical industry or related industry, in either Engineering or Operations role
Commitment to high level of safety and environmental awareness

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot operational issues; interface with operations and maintenance personnel as problems are addressed
Develop and execute $25K to $6 million capital projects; develop scope, estimates, and serve as project manager when funded
Lead and participate in process hazard reviews, PHA revalidation and LOPA analysis
Execute and close PHA and LOPA recommendations
Identify productivity improvement projects by analyzing production data and performing process modeling
Propose production tests to collect data and evaluate results using DOE where applicable
Monitor and optimize process operation to meet energy, yield, and production targets
Generate MOC documents addressing plant needs; complete engineering aspects of MOC documentation
Follow new technology developments and evaluate opportunity to implement in existing units
Cooperate with new business development to estimate capex for growth plans
Participate in plant safety audits and routine safety improvement activities
