Job summary

Bixby International in the United States seeks a seasoned manufacturing professional to evaluate processes and configure plastics production systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices.

You will document processes by product, lead continuous improvement on equipment and processes, train personnel, and coordinate production plans while ensuring ISO/TQM compliance and safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or polymer science.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience in a plastics processing environment.
• Extrusion background, sheet extrusion and laminating running multiple lines.
• Experience with working and/or managing in a TQM and ISO 9000 environment.
• Line supervisory experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Document all processes by product to ensure predictability and repeatability.
• Perform continuous improvement analysis of both the equipment and processes.
• Develop plans and documentation for upcoming production and trial runs.
• Develop and maintain all standards documentation including running conditions, troubleshooting guidelines, visual standards and process documentation.
• Write and train all process personnel on improvements in new and existing procedures.
• Recommend and participate in decisions regarding equipment upgrades, improvements and necessary capital expenditures.
• Participate and provide support for all new product and manufacturing trials to include development of operating plan, training of line personnel, set up and run documentation and trial result analysis.
• Participate in reject analysis, customer complaints and material review board activities as required.
• Participate and assist in coordination and completion of weekly production plan activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
