Job summary

Evonik Industries AG is seeking a highly experienced process engineer to support the synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates and final bulk products. The role focuses on process understanding, monitoring, and performance management in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.

You will drive process optimization, scale-up activities, and technology introductions while upholding ESHS standards and collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Chemistry acceptable).
• Minimum 10 years of chemical/pharmaceutical engineering manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience across multiple production facilities with different scales and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Apply process engineering knowledge to synthesize starting materials and final bulk products safely and efficiently.
• Provide hands-on process optimization and continuous improvement to enhance productivity and quality.
• Lead design, scale-up, and implementation of new processes and technology introductions.
