Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Sr Process Engineer for a client in Pasadena, Texas, in the petrochemical sector. You will work within the Process Engineering Department to support operating targets, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in petrochemical or refining environments, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead process simulations and capital projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in petrochemical or refining environments.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• Proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
• Proven planning and organizational skills with a strong analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the production engineer in deriving operating targets to optimize unit performance and economic efficiency.
• Conduct process scope development for capital projects, including justifications and conceptual design reviews.
• Participate in and lead incident investigations to enhance plant safety and environmental compliance.
• Implement process and capital improvements to increase production, reduce energy consumption, and lower operating costs.
• Perform process simulations and modeling to support operational decision-making and troubleshooting.
