Job summary

Fralock in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Process Engineer 3 to lead lithography-focused manufacturing processes for PCBs. The role emphasizes technical leadership, process development, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Product Engineering to improve yield, reliability, throughput, and cost while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will apply DOE, PFMEA, KPIs, and SPCs; evaluate capital equipment and new methods, and document SOPs and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documents.
• Experience in photolithography and wet-process manufacturing.
• Experience with DOE and process validation.
• Experience using data analysis to track KPIs, CpK, and other metrics.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/13485, IPC standards, and ERP/SPC tools.
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for multilayer PCB lithography processes (substrate prep, coating, lamination, UV exposure, imaging, resist development/removal).
• Lead development and NPI by evaluating capital equipment, tooling, automation, and process improvements.
• Develop ROI analyses for proposed methods, processes, or equipment.
• Develop and qualify new processes and equipment using DOE, CpK, and Gage R&R.
• Develop and revising process documentation (PFMEA, KPIs, SPCs, SOPs, work instructions).
• Drive continuous improvement for safety, quality, efficiency, cycle time, and cost.
• Analyze yield losses, nonconformances, CAPA, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
