Job summary

Clearwater Paper Corporation is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the development and continuous improvement of the Cypress Bend manufacturing process in Arkansas City. The role emphasizes safety, quality, cost, yield, waste reduction and process reliability.

You will guide technology evaluations, implement changes, and provide data-driven performance updates while collaborating with operating areas to reduce downtime and optimize changeovers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in paper/ manufacturing.
• Proficient knowledge of PI (Process Information System).
• Experience with Production Management systems preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with CI, Lean, OEE and TPM techniques desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of the manufacturing process, focusing on safety, quality, cost, yield, waste and reliability.
• Evaluate new technologies, implement process changes, and develop systems to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Lead technical processes for operating areas to solve equipment and process problems.
• Provide data support for reports and performance updates; analyze data to reduce variability.
• Review production schedules and modify to reduce downtime and optimize changeovers.
• Design solutions to eliminate equipment failures and instabilities; train operators.
