Job summary

Clearwater Paper Corporation is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our Cypress Bend facility in Arkansas City, AR. You will lead manufacturing process improvements with emphasis on safety, quality, cost, yield, and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in a related field, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and proficiency with PI and production management systems. You will guide cross-functional teams, train operators, and develop cost-reduction initiatives to optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering or Paper Science preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.
• Proficient knowledge of PI (Process Information System).
• Experience using a Production Management system.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new technologies, implements process changes and develops systems to reduce operating costs and improve quality.
• Leads the technical process for operating areas to solve equipment and process-related problems.
• Provides support data for reports and performance updates; analyzes data to reduce variability.
• Reviews production schedules and suggests modifications to reduce downtime and changeovers.
• Writes procedures, trains operators and monitors quality compliance.
