Process Engineer – Manufacturing

Location: Wisconsin Rapids, WI

Join a performance-driven manufacturing team led by Guy Barber - Operations Manager - WI sites, a clear and collaborative leader who values results, ownership, and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll focus on optimizing equipment reliability, improving line efficiencies, and reducing scrap and downtime across our coating and converting operations.

This is more than just a technical role—it’s an opportunity to lead meaningful process improvements, contribute to high-visibility projects, and support the long-term success of our operations

What You’ll Do
  1. Process & Equipment Optimization (50%)
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting $500K+ in annual savings
    • Reduce scrap, enhance machine reliability, and drive efficiency gains using Lean tools
    • Support production teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  2. Cross-Functional Project Work (30%)
    • Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering teams on capital planning and implementation
    • Support new product development and feasibility through technical evaluations
    • Provide manufacturing input to strategic initiatives and cost/benefit assessments
  3. Safety & Culture (20%)
    • Identify process safety concerns and support risk mitigation efforts
    • Reinforce a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Paper Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field preferred)
  • 5+ years in process engineering or manufacturing environments (preferred)
  • Strong analytical mindset and hands-on problem-solving ability
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies
  • Effective communication skills across levels of the organization
  • Willingness to support 2nd/3rd shift production as needed
  • Experience with coating or converting operations is a plus
