Job description

As the Process Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for driving operational process improvements within our coating and converting manufacturing departments. You will focus on enhancing manufacturing efficiencies, optimizing machine performance, and delivering cost savings through the application of engineering and lean manufacturing principles.

You will ensure that our manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. By implementing process improvements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, the Process Reliability Engineer plays a key role in optimizing production and reducing operational costs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to deliver>$500K in annual operational cost savingsthrough scrap reduction, machine reliability improvements, and process efficiency enhancements.
  • Work closely with site managers, supervisors, and production teams to implement sustainable process improvements and support manufacturing performance goals.
  • Provide technical expertise to support new product development, ensuring manufacturing feasibility and addressing technical challenges
  • Assist in the development and execution of theannual capital budget plan, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Support safety initiatives by identifying and addressing safety concerns while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

What It Takes:

  • BS degreein Paper Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of process engineering experience(preferred, but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including cost/benefit analysis and long-term strategic planning.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability todrive resolution of complex issuesindependently and as part of a team.
  • Experience inpaper coating and converting operations(preferred, but not required).
  • Willingness to support2nd or 3rd shift productionas needed based on business or project demands.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with a detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
