Job summary

Mariana Minerals in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Sr./Staff Process Engineer to drive the development and deployment of chemical refining processes for critical minerals and to help build software for capital project execution and plant optimization.

You will lead process areas from concept through design, installation, commissioning, ramp, and handover to operations, partnering with lab, pilot plant, and software teams to scale innovations into full-scale production.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in chemical or metallurgical engineering.
• Experience with plant & equipment engineering and design.
• Brownfield and Greenfield project experience.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM firms.

Responsibilities

• Lead process area and equipment scopes from concept through ramp and handover.
• Coordinate with external providers, licensors and engineering firms.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs for mineral refineries.
• Build first-principles reactor models for scale-up.
• Collaborate with software/ML teams to automate workflows.
• Scale designs from lab to commercial production.
