Job summary

Kiewit Corporation’s Energy Corridor office in Houston seeks an experienced chemical/process engineer with LNG, refining and petrochemical background. The role focuses on engineering-driven design, safety, constructability, and cost-effective solutions across EPCC projects.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex process facilities, develop design deliverables, and drive improvements while ensuring schedule adherence and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 10–20 years of LNG, refining and petrochemical industry experience.
• Travel < 20% expected.
• Self directs work with limited supervision.
• Leads small team to complete task/design on project.
• Proficient in process simulations such as Aspen HYSYS.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex calculations and applies standards with minimal supervision.
• Reviews engineers’ and designers’ work producing design documents.
• Leads mid to large-size projects or proposals.
• Develops and leads cost-saving design improvements.
• Generates PFDs, P&IDs, process simulations, data sheets and calculations.
• Provides resolution of technical issues in refinery and petrochemical processes.
