Job summary

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC in Georgia, Ellabell, is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance and engineering teams, lead root cause analysis, support new equipment installations, and drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and PFMEA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience supporting high-volume production operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to achieve production, quality, and cost objectives.
• Analyze production data and process performance to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues, quality concerns, and equipment downtime.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, process flow charts, and control plans.
• Support new equipment installation, process validation, and production line launches.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to ensure process capability and compliance with customer requirements.
• Participate in APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and other quality system activities as required.
• Conduct time studies and line balancing activities to optimize labor and equipment utilization.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend automation opportunities to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Monitor key process indicators and implement corrective actions when performance targets are not achieved.
• Coordinate engineering changes and ensure successful implementation into production.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other problem-solving methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical training and support to production personnel and other team members.
