Job summary

Rhodes Wolfe in Illinois seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design and execution of turnkey sanitary processing systems, including skid systems and tank solutions for sanitary manufacturing environments. This role requires strong technical leadership, CIP/SIP expertise, and project oversight from concept through commissioning.

Hybrid, full-time position with 20-40% travel nationwide. Salary range $120,000–$150,000 plus benefits; relocation assistance available; sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 7+ years process engineering experience required.
• Experience in sanitary/industrials manufacturing environments required.
• Turnkey skid and tank systems design experience required.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering projects from concept through commissioning/startup.
• Design sanitary process systems including skid, CIP/SIP, aseptic processing.
• Review/approve PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Lead customer technical discussions and design reviews; perform risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with ASME BPE and regulatory standards.
• Support proposals, estimates, standardization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Oversee FAT, commissioning, and onsite startup activities.
