Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement and safety across processes, standard work and equipment. You will install, validate new equipment and create work instructions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to boost OEE and reduce risk.

This on-site, full-time role is based at New London, NC. The successful candidate will design and test manufacturing processes, mentor teams, and develop plant standards for 5S and visual management,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of demonstrated industrial/manufacturing engineering experience.
• 5+ years in process improvement with measurable projects and impact.
• Knowledge and application of improvement tools including PDCA, SMED, 6 Sigma.
• Experience writing SOPs and work instructions.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills across organizational levels.
• Proven facilitation, leadership, mentoring, and training abilities.
• Ability to work long hours on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Directs design, development or improvement of manufacturing process for an assigned area.
• Analyzes product designs for best method of manufacture.
• Designs and tests new equipment, processes, procedures and systems while developing equipment layouts.
• Develops data-driven process improvements focused on OEE and safety.
• Supports the purchase and installation of new equipment associated with the assigned area of the manufacturing plant.
• Leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA's) that mitigate hindrances to increased OEE and safety.
• Evaluates operations and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Quantifies improvements by measurable impacts to OEE, MUV, Takt, CM, ROI, BOM, MTBF and WIP reduction.
