Job summary

Sunrock in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Engineer to support operations with continuous improvement across a portfolio of engineering projects at multiple sites.

You will lead safety-driven engineering activities, coordinate design and implementation with internal teams and external vendors, and participate in budgeting and capital planning while maintaining high standards of reliability and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 3–5 years of experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, GPS surveying software, and AggFlow.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety policies and ensures team adherence.
• Monitors PPE compliance and safety practices.
• Oversees engineering services and project coordination across sites.
• Coordinates facility and quarry improvements from design to implementation.
• Backs up plant operations and operates mobile equipment as needed.
• Assists with permitting and compliance when directed.
• Manages project portfolio including mine and site development.
• Prepares annual budgets and analyzes capital expenditures.
