Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks a Senior Process Engineer to join an established engineered-equipment manufacturer in Somerset, KY. You will work closely with the Director of Engineering to understand products, technology, and customer applications, and progressively assume broader technical leadership responsibilities.

The role requires hands-on design, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams.

Qualifications

• Strong background in process engineering for engineered industrial equipment.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs, process-flow diagrams, and control-system requirements.
• Hands-on design and support of equipment involving pressure, temperature, steam, gases, and liquids.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of products, technologies, equipment and customer applications with Director of Engineering.
• Consult with customers to understand processes, requirements, challenges, and performance.
• Translate requirements into practical, safe equipment solutions.
• Develop process concepts, specs, operating requirements and design criteria for custom equipment.
• Perform calculations related to pressure, temperature, flow, heat transfer, steam, gases, liquids, and performance.
• Review P&IDs, instrumentation requirements, equipment layouts, and control-system strategies.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers throughout design and execution.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, testing, commissioning, installation, startup.
• Troubleshoot equipment, processes, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Provide technical support to customers, manufacturing, field service, suppliers and internal teams.
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality, safety, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Improve engineering standards, documentation, design practices and project execution processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
• Assume progressively greater responsibility for projects, technical decisions, team development, and leadership.
