Job summary

CapstoneONE Search is seeking a Senior Process Development Engineer to support development, scale-up and implementation of new manufacturing processes at its Southwest Kentucky site. You will work with Operations, Engineering and other technical teams to move processes from development into production, while supporting process improvement and equipment implementation.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position with relocation assistance for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• 5+ years in process/manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in continuous-process environments preferred.
• Experience with process controls, P&IDs and capital projects preferred.
• Hands-on manufacturing environment experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Support development, scale-up and implementation of new manufacturing capabilities.
• Assist daily manufacturing operations focusing on safety, quality, reliability and cost.
• Troubleshoot process/equipment issues and implement corrective actions.

Job description

A rapidly growing, global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Process Development Engineer to support the development, scale-up and implementation of new manufacturing processes at its Southwest Kentucky site. This role will work closely with Operations, Engineering and other technical teams to help move new processes from development into production, while also supporting process improvement, equipment implementation and ongoing manufacturing performance. This is a full-time, direct-hire position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support process development, scale-up and implementation of new manufacturing capabilities.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations with a focus on safety, quality, reliability, throughput and cost.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assist with capital projects, equipment modifications, installation, commissioning and startup activities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, operating procedures and technical standards.
• Participate in process safety reviews, risk assessments and structured problem-solving activities.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is required.
• 5+ years of process engineering or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience within a continuous-process manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with process controls, P&IDs, capital projects and/or commissioning is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
