Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Valley Green, PA team. You will lead mechanical connector design, perform analyses, and support new business opportunities in a global cross-functional setting.

Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5–10 years of design experience, proficiency with SolidWorks, GD&T, and DFM concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in 3D modeling using SolidWorks.
• General understanding of drawing standards such as ASME Y14.5.
• General knowledge of component tooling DFM.
• General understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ability to communicate well with Global Customers and all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize, work to meet objectives and manage multiple projects.
• FEA experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative product solutions.
• Review product designs to ensure performance and customer requirements.
• Utilize 3D CAD software to develop derivative designs.
• Prepare samples for development studies and DOEs.
• Analyze designs utilizing Finite element analysis.
• Collect, record, and analyze data.
• Develop and review product performance specifications.
• Ensure projects are completed on time.
• Ensure derivative designs are cost effective.
• Work with component suppliers to bring up new designs.
