Job summary

ECHO Consulting Group, Inc. in Juncos, Puerto Rico seeks a seasoned Design Engineer to lead complex process optimization and capital projects.

You will apply advanced engineering principles to design and implement major system modifications and present results for substantial operational issues. Preferred candidates have advanced degrees with pharma/biotech packaging experience, GMP/GDP proficiency, and strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in pharma/biotech packaging and GMP/GDP knowledge.
• Strong GMP/GDP understanding is required.
• Familiar with packaging materials and testing standards (ASTM D4169, ISO, TAPPI, USP, EP).
• Interpersonal and project management skills mandatory.
• Ability to work in teams in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to write test protocols and support material evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex assignments requiring new engineering techniques.
• Develop policies and procedures affecting multiple units.
• Supervise engineers, associates and technicians on projects.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques within area of expertise.
• Coordinate with consultants and architectural/engineering firms.
• Develop budgets for projects.
• Serve as a specialist in at least one area with defined methodologies.
