Job summary

The AZEK Company is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support day-to-day extrusion operations while driving long-term continuous improvement. You will troubleshoot processes, improve OEE, and lead cross-functional teams to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include implementing SOPs, advancing automation, and applying Lean/Six Sigma methods to achieve operational excellence across manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing or related).
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with hands-on process engineering, material handling, and mixing equipment.
• Proficiency in process optimization, data analysis, and statistical software (Minitab, JMP).
• SolidWorks experience for design/modification.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for extrusion processes and resolve issues affecting flow, equipment function, material consistency, and quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement process improvements to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance safety and quality.
• Develop and implement SOPs and protocols to ensure long-term consistency and efficiency.
• Recommend capital projects and manage spending for upgraded/replacement equipment.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies; drive automation and digital tool adoption.
• Communicate milestones and recommendations to stakeholders via reports and presentations.
