Job summary

VirTex Assembly Services, Inc. in Plano, TX seeks an Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing process engineering and drive continuous improvements across SMT and assembly lines.

You will resolve complex engineering issues, coordinate change implementation, and mentor operators and engineers to optimize productivity and quality. The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in SMT/Through Hole assembly, CAD data, and CircuitCAM.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related manufacturing/engineering experience.
• Experience with SMT First Articles and SMT/Through Hole assembly.
• Ability to read production documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering duties across the manufacturing area.
• Resolve engineering, equipment, and process issues to improve productivity.
• Develop setup, operation, and maintenance instructions for OEE.
• Coordinate and oversee process change implementation.
• Assist QA with FMEA and corrective actions.
• Provide training to operators and engineers on new processes.
