Job summary

TealEnergi is seeking a Process Engineer in Houston, TX to design and optimize complex energy and industrial facilities. You will contribute to process design development, steady improvements, and startup activities, collaborating with multiple teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and 7+ years of experience in large-scale facilities, with strong modeling and safety knowledge. Direct hire, on-site position offering technical growth and cross-disciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in process engineering for large industrial, energy, or chemical facilities.
• Strong experience with process modeling, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Experience supporting projects through execution and startup preferred.
• Knowledge of process safety practices and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review process design deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and process narratives.
• Perform process simulations, calculations, and system evaluations.
• Support equipment sizing and specification in coordination with mechanical, rotating, and electrical teams.
• Participate in HAZOPs, safety reviews, and design risk assessments.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Interface with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of process systems.
