Qualifications

BS Chemical Engineering required.
6+ years in the Chemical/Refining Industry.
High level process management and control skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

Act as an internal and external technology expert supporting existing plants in questions of technology and optimization of operations.
Lead the global variable cost reduction initiative focusing on process and energy optimization.
Observe plant operations then develop, suggest and implement improvements via process simulations and optimization studies.
Provide technical solutions and troubleshooting to solve reliability/processing problems and eliminate bottlenecks at production sites.
Develop ideas from R&D and scale-up processes for commercial production with complete design packages for project management.
Lead process safety efforts by conducting HAZOPs and performing PSSR for all sites (domestic and abroad).
Support plant turnaround activities by filling roles on the management team and acting as project manager for larger capital items.
Possess experience to substitute for operations engineers at each plant when needed.
