Job summary

The Hershey Company in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the conceptual and detailed design of capital projects for North American manufacturing, applying process knowledge and best practices to deliver results.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, safety, and quality teams, mentor interns, and drive optimization from design through startup while ensuring GMP and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Food, Agricultural, or related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in Food Processing, Confectionery, Pharmaceutical or related industries.
• Knowledge of process design, GMP, sanitation and Food Safety.
• Ability to lead capital projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual and detailed engineering design and cost estimation for capital projects.
• Coordinate equipment installation, check-out, and commissioning.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for process-focused capital projects.
• Train manufacturing personnel on key operating parameters of the process.
• Collaborate with Corporate Engineering, Plant Operations, Safety, Quality Assurance, and other functions.
