Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in League City, TX is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for Capital Projects to lead process design, owner’s-team leadership, and technical stewardship across FEL stages from concept to commissioning.

You will oversee PFDs/P&IDs, equipment specifications, safety analyses, and design baselines, ensuring operability, reliability, and alignment with business goals. Strong background in petrochemicals and capital project delivery is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering required.
7–10+ years of experience in petrochemicals, refining, or polymers process engineering.
Proficiency with process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS.
Experience supporting stage-gated capital projects from FEL1 through Execute.

Responsibilities

Lead development of process engineering deliverables for capital projects, reliability improvements, and operational enhancements from FEL1 through commissioning.
Provide technical input to relief system design, SIS requirements, interlock schematics, and flare or disposal system basis.
Review contractor deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulics, equipment datasheets, control narratives) for QA/QC.
Drive early identification and closure of design gaps to minimize late changes and rework.
