Job summary

Molex in Lisle, IL seeks a Senior Process Engineer to design and launch manufacturing processes for cables and connector products. You will partner with a cross-functional design team and suppliers to create robust, zero-defect processes that meet customer requirements.

You will lead manufacturing strategy, support equipment design and qualification, and drive continuous improvement across assembly and testing.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in manufacturing assembly processes such as cutting, crimping, soldering, welding, dispensing, assembly and testing.
• Experience with machine builders, SOWs, qualification plans, and mass production rollout.
• Hands-on automation and assembly concept development.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in DFA/DFM activities with cross functional team and provide feedback from manufacturing plant.
• Develop manufacturing strategy aligned with vision and product pipeline.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors on design, development, testing and qualification; contribute to FAT/SAT.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Calculate production costs, review production schedules, and estimate future requirements.
• Maintain communication between plant and front office (BU) and relay plant feedback.
