Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related field).
• 8-12 years of experience in specialty glass, advanced materials, or comparable high-value manufacturing environments.
• Develop custom manufacturing processes and lead root cause investigations of defect modes.
• Support manufacturing scale-up, equipment changes, or process transitions.
• Strong analytical capability and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead boule forming and thermal process development and implementation.
• Drive root cause investigations and identify underlying failure mechanisms.
• Develop solutions to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams across materials science, modeling, manufacturing, and equipment engineering.
• Support process scale-up and equipment transitions.
• Evaluate new processing approaches and assess technical/economic feasibility.
• Develop yield and cost models and data-driven decision tools.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting in a high-value manufacturing environment.
