Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline (metallurgical/metals, materials science, or mechanical engineering).
• 7+ years of process engineering or process management experience in alloy manufacturing, metals processing, foundry operations, or similar heavy manufacturing.
• Expertise with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, QMS, and TPM methodologies.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable process improvements, yield increases, cost reductions, and productivity gains.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship and willingness to relocate to Darlington, SC.

Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce scrap, minimize variation, and enhance efficiency.
• Lead root cause analysis to resolve production issues using data-driven methods.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, TPM, and related tools.

• Develop and communicate technical recommendations, SOPs, metrics, and project results to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce scrap, minimize variation, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Lead root cause analysis activities to resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and quality concerns using data-driven methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, TPM, and related tools.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to implement process enhancements and operational best practices.
• Develop and communicate technical recommendations, SOPs, performance metrics, and project results to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of process engineering or process management experience within alloy manufacturing, metals processing, foundry operations, or a similar heavy manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, QMS, and TPM methodologies.

• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements and willingness to relocate to the Darlington, SC area.

Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunities (flexibility available for exceptional candidates).
