Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial)
  • Five+ years of manufacturing process engineering experience
  • Previous leadership experience managing engineering/technical teams
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and capital equipment projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site's Process Engineering, Technical, and Automation functions and develop a high-performing engineering team
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, throughput, and efficiency
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to reduce waste, improve reliability, and boost productivity using Lean and Six Sigma
  • Drive process capability improvements via PFMEA, process validation, risk assessments, and statistical analysis
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (Control Plans, Standard Work, process control procedures)
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Why) and data-driven tools
  • Analyze production metrics, scrap, and quality trends to implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance to improve plant performance
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure robust manufacturing processes
  • Identify automation opportunities and capital improvements to increase capacity
  • Develop capital equipment plans and manage projects from concept to startup
  • Manage equipment suppliers and project timelines to deliver safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Use KPIs to prioritize improvements and drive measurable results
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee development

Are you an engineering leader who enjoys improving manufacturing processes, developing teams, and driving operational excellence?

We're looking for a Senior Process Engineering to lead the technical and process engineering function at our St. Louis, MO manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for manufacturing process optimization, automation, continuous improvement, capital projects, and technical team development.

You'll work alongside plant leadership to improve safety, quality, productivity, and profitability while helping shape the long-term technical strategy of the facility. What You'll Do
  • Lead the site's Process Engineering, Technical, and Automation functions while developing a high-performing engineering team.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, throughput, delivery performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve reliability, and increase productivity using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Drive process capability improvements through PFMEA, process validation, risk assessments, and statistical analysis.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Control Plans, Standard Work Instructions, and process control procedures.
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Why, and other data-driven tools.
  • Analyze production metrics, scrap, customer feedback, and quality trends to implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance to improve plant performance.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts to ensure successful launches with robust manufacturing processes.
  • Identify automation opportunities and equipment improvements that increase plant capacity and operational performance.
  • Develop capital equipment plans, prepare business cases, and manage projects from concept through installation and production startup.
  • Manage equipment suppliers, contractors, and project timelines to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Use manufacturing data and KPIs to prioritize improvement initiatives and drive measurable business results.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee development.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing process engineering experience.
  • Previous leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and capital equipment projects.
