Position Summary:
Engauge is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer with expertise in plastic injection molding to support manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and assist with large-scale capital projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to new product launches, ensure optimal equipment installation, and lead cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for injection molding processes.
- Provide guidance and support to process engineers on the
production floor.
- Collaborate with product launch teams for design reviews and
process setups.
- Participate in vendor build events and ensure successful Job 1 runs.
- Identify and evaluate continuous improvement (CI) opportunities
through cost-benefit analysis.
- Oversee vendor installations and validate equipment to meet
safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality and performance issues.
- Implement corrective actions based on analytical findings.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to develop and implement optimal solutions.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
(Associate degree with significant experience may be considered)
Experience:
- 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with high-speed injection molding strongly preferred
- Master Molder certification is a plus
Skills:
- Strong communication across cross-functional teams
- Project and vendor management capabilities
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with cost-benefit analysis tools
- Ability to develop and optimize injection molding processes
