This position is with a Fortune 200 dairy manufacturer near Marshfield, Wisconsin. The Senior Process Engineer will focus on reducing operating costs, process capacity constraints, product losses, and product quality variation.

Job Responsibilities

1. Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
2. Develop and implement process control strategies to improve results and reduce variability.
3. Identify opportunities for yield improvement, waste reduction, throughput enhancement, and process control.
4. Lead troubleshooting of complex operational issues and communicate findings clearly.
5. Implement best-practice solutions across the facility.
6. Collaborate with R&D on new product development and plant trials.
7. Work with Q.A. on analytical instrumentation evaluation and improvement.
8. Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure proper process and measurement maintenance.
9. Coach and train team members, participate in on-the-job training.
10. Prioritize food safety and sanitation, adhering to policies and procedures.
11. Engage in root cause analysis related to food safety and sanitation.
12. Maintain a safety-first approach in all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in Food or Beverage Manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills for technical presentations.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, statistical, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Successful track record in process improvement initiatives.
• Leadership skills to motivate cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience with process data analysis and mass balances.

Preferred Experience

• Lean & Six Sigma certification and experience with methodologies and software.
• Experience in FDA-regulated environments.
