Base pay range

$105,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

• Develop and lead engineering projects to reduce waste, improve process capability, reliability, OEE, quality, and manage capacity.
• Plan, resource, and prioritize OEE improvement projects using Design of Experiments (DOEs) and related tools to optimize manufacturing process performance.
• Specify, design, and execute a portfolio of projects focused on capacity, process, and cost improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Identify, analyze, and solve manufacturing problems by recommending and executing cost-effective solutions across various scenarios.
• Develop data acquisition and performance measurement techniques to gather and analyze critical data to improve product cost, quality, and manufacturing reliability.
• Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, materials, and parts.
• Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies to improve operations and develop recommendations accordingly.
• Incorporate new methods and processes to enhance existing operations.
• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
• Assist with developing training for new or existing methods and coach production personnel on best practices.
• Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
• Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Advise management on developments that may impact profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, or inter-departmental collaboration.

Qualifications

Required

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a production manufacturing facility, with a focus on OEE, manufacturing process improvements, process and equipment design, and project management.
• Skills & Attributes
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in process excellence tools and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, DOE, VSM, RCA, FMEA).
• Strong knowledge of process and packaging equipment design, operation, automation, and controls (PLC, DCS, etc.).
• Solid analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal communication and project management.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience managing people and projects.
• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA, GMP, HACCP) with high-speed packaging equipment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, customer service orientation, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
