Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Holcim (US) Inc. seeks a Senior Process Engineer in Bloomsdale, MO tolead plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, andenvironmental performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Make positive contributions to the plant safety activities and initiatives.
• Provide technical support to the plant’s production, quality, and environmental functions.Understand strategies, priorities, and optimization techniques that assist the plant in attainment ofplant and company objectives. Evaluate operations, processes, and trends through the use ofaudits and systematic approaches (Six Sigma, RCFA, SPC, etc).
• Provide technical support on implementation of new equipment and/or new proceduresincluding training of plant personnel as required. Serves as coach / mentor to CP’s in process andother departments.
• Coordinate and participate in improving the plant’s technical capabilities. Initiate processoptimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum andefficient utilization of the plant’s equipment. Elevate the technical knowledge and practices of allfacets of the operation.
• Procure a full spectrum of exposure to cement plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures, communicating problems in operations,unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.

This position involves domestic/national travel up to 15 % of the time.

REQUIREMENTS:The position of Senior Process Engineer requires a bachelor’s degree, or itsforeign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering,or Mechanical Engineering, plus 5 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureateexperience in job offered, as Process Engineer/Manager, Automation Engineer, MechatronicsEngineer, or in related engineering position.

The position requires 5 years of professional experience with each of the following:

Conducting process engineering activities to optimize the cement manufacturing process

Conducting complete kiln, raw mill, and cement process A and B level Audits

Process Engineering experience in a cement plant

Excel, Access, IP21, SAP, and SPC
