Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Development Engineer for a fully remote role focused on R&D for novel chemical processes from concept to commercialization. You will lead complex projects using simulations and experimental work to achieve breakthroughs in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Remote collaboration with a global network of scientists is essential, with 10+ years of R&D experience and expertise in Aspen Plus, COMSOL, and reaction engineering.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of experience in chemical process R&D, development, and scale-up.
• Expertise in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, COMSOL) and statistical analysis.
• Strong knowledge of chemical reaction engineering, separations, and process intensification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of R&D projects for new chemical processes.
• Use process modeling and simulation tools to predict and optimize performance.
• Conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments to validate designs and gather data.
• Analyze results, interpret data, and propose scale-up strategies.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and economic targets are met for developed processes.
• Prepare technical reports, patents, and proposals and present findings.
