Job summary
Unknown is seeking an innovative Process Development Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. The role focuses on research, design, and pilot-scale testing of new technologies to advance chemical processes and improve product quality.
You will conceptualize and optimize processes, collaborate with R&D and manufacturing in a remote setting, and report on progress and findings.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years in process development, R&D, or scale-up of chemical processes.
- Experience in experimental design, statistical analysis, and process modeling.
- Ability to manage complex R&D projects remotely.
- Strong knowledge of chemical kinetics, reaction engineering, and separation technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead R&D of novel chemical processes from bench to pilot plant.
- Design experiments to evaluate feasibility, optimize parameters, and assess quality.
- Develop process designs with P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specs.
- Analyze data and provide recommendations for scale-up.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and external partners remotely.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and progress presentations.
