Job summary
INEOS Mobile facility in Alabama seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to ensure the integrity of DCS/PLC control systems, ESD, Data Historian, and Alarm Management. You will design, configure, test, and optimize control schemes, while coordinating with operations, maintenance, and engineering to minimize risk and maximize reliability.
The role requires a BS in Engineering (or AAS with experience) and hands-on expertise with safety systems, industrial networks, and PLCs.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of industrial experience.
- AAS Technical Degree with 10 years in industrial electrical/instrumentation/process controls.
- Certifications in process controls and safety systems.
- Ability to configure, test, and maintain DCS/PLC, ESD, and alarm systems.
- Strong cross-functional communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA, ISA, IEC regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain DCS/PLC control networks.
- Lead preventive maintenance and interlock testing.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Analyze process data to identify improvements and optimize control schemes.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and contractors.
