Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering.
• Four years of experience within refining or heavy industry.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to wear PPE in the refinery and perform all field tasks.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and maintains process control strategies to optimize unit performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoots and resolves control system issues (hardware, software, network).
• Collaborates with operations, engineering, OT, and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Leads or supports MOC processes for control system modifications.
• Leads incident investigations and root cause analyses involving control systems.
• Develops and maintains documentation like control narratives, alarm rationalization, and system architecture drawings.
• Assists in planning and executing turnarounds and post-event evaluations.
• Integrates process controllers and control logic with existing infrastructure.
