Job summary

CEO Inc. is seeking a Sr. Process Controls Engineer to support and enhance automation systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will focus on control strategy execution, HMI development, and optimization to drive efficiency and reliability across the plant.

Relocation assistance is available. The role requires 5+ years in automation and a strong background with DCS/PLC platforms, plus ability to work with cross-functional teams on capital projects and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in automation, controls, or process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with distributed or plant-wide control systems (DCS) and PLC-based automation platforms.
• Familiarity with multiple automation platforms and vendors.
• Background supporting projects from concept through commissioning is desirable.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols and system integration concepts.
• Exposure to data systems, historians, or manufacturing IT/OT environments is a plus.
• Strong foundation in instrumentation and control principles.
• Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine automation strategies to improve process stability, product quality, and operational efficiency
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as control narratives, loop documentation, and system backups
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues in collaboration with maintenance and operations teams
• Work cross-functionally to support capital projects, system upgrades, and new equipment integration
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize automation and workflows
