Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to lead development of first-of-its-kind chemical refining processes and software for capital projects. You will oversee controls infrastructure from concept through installation, commissioning, ramp, and handover to operations, and help build an in-house engineering team.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration with lab, pilot plant, process and project engineers while developing technoeconomic models to inform business opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with equipment engineering and design.
• Brownfield and Greenfield equipment experience.
• Leadership of engineers and technicians.
• Project management of large capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop standards for controls programming.
• Lead equipment scopes from concept to ramp and handover.
• Manage external providers and licensors for integrated scopes.
• Drive cross-functional teams to de-risk scale-up and commercialization.
• Support hiring and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Develop technoeconomic models for opportunities and tech.
• Prepare bankable deliverables for due diligence.
• Identify and implement process engineering software tools.
• Support automation of capital project workflows.
