Mariana Minerals is a software-first minerals company building the critical minerals supply chain. We seek a highly motivated Controls Engineer to lead controls infrastructure from concept to handover, and to help develop software for capital projects and plant optimization.

You will guide equipment scopes, manage external partners, and mentor junior engineers while advancing ML-driven control algorithms for industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Strong background in instrumentation and controls with ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience leading equipment scopes from concept to handover and ramp.
• Proven ability to manage external providers and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with ML applications for process control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead equipment scopes from concept through ramp and handover.
• Manage external equipment providers, licensors, and engineering firms.
• Drive cross-functional teams to scale up and de-risk novel mineral refining processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support hiring.
• Lead selection, calibration, and installation of instruments and analyzers.
• Support development of ML applications for plant control.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve capital project execution.
