Job summary

3A Recruiting LLC is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join our tissue production operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in process control systems, especially Valmet DCS, with proven ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and program legacy and modern architectures.

This role requires strong knowledge of QCS and other DCS platforms such as ABB or Honeywell, and will focus on safe, efficient operations through control design, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with process control systems in manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of Valmet DCS systems (required).
• Experience with QCS platforms (e.g., Valmet, ABB) and their integration with DCS systems.
• Proficiency in Valmet control loop programming; experience with ABB, Honeywell or other DCS platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize DCS and QCS systems to ensure mill operations.
• Design, implement, and refine control loops using Valmet and ABB platforms.
• Support legacy systems and drive upgrade initiatives.
• Lead DCS/QCS upgrade projects and integrate new technologies.
