Job summary

Trecora LLC seeks a Process Control Engineer to implement, administer, and test control systems and instrument improvements for safe, efficient plant operation in Texas. Responsibilities include DCS/PLC life cycle management, loop checks, and MOC implementation, with focus on safety, reliability and cost reduction.

The role requires engineering degree and 5+ years in the process industry, strong communication skills, and leadership, with hands-on work across DeltaV, Rockwell PLCs, and HMI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Electrical) required.
• 5+ years of experience in the process industry.
• Experience with Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation.
• 5+ years of experience in DCS
• Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level.

Responsibilities

• Provide process control engineering support to Operations for plant and equipment operability and risk management.
• Manage DCS commissioning activities including loop checks.
• Administer Enterprise Historian (OSI PI) and support process hazard analyses (HAZOPs/What If).
• Implement control strategies in DeltaV, Rockwell PLCs, and HMI systems.
• Support project groups in planning and installing new equipment and process control systems.
• Develop process control modifications to improve safety, reduce costs, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with MOC processes and safety/environmental rules.
