Job summary

Qualifications

• Adept at supervising probation staff and programs.
• Experience in counseling adult/juvenile offenders and families.
• Familiarity with Evidence Based Practices and Motivational Interviewing is desirable.
• Ability to analyze information and prepare court recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Carry an assigned caseload of adult and/or juvenile offenders and prepare reports for the courts.
• Provide supervision, training, and work direction for Deputy Probation Officers and program staff.
• Conduct investigations, interviews, and assessments to determine appropriate placement.
• Deliver individual and group counseling and may coordinate with courts and agencies.
