Job summary

County of Siskiyou is seeking a Deputy Probation Officer Supervisor to oversee probation casework, investigations, and program delivery. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with Evidence Based Practices, and prepare detailed court reports and recommendations.

The role requires leadership, complex case management, crisis counseling when needed, and collaboration with courts and county agencies. A valid driver’s license and continuing education are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional probation work with juvenile or adult offenders.
• Ability to supervise staff and programs and lead teams.
• Knowledge of California codes applicable to probation work.
• Strong assessment and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate offenses and supervise a probation caseload.
• Prepare recommendations and reports for the courts.
• Supervise and counsel juveniles and adults on probation.
• Coordinate scheduling of staff and programming.
• Provide crisis counseling as needed.
