Job summary

The Deputy Probation Officer IV position with the Gila County Probation Department is based in Globe or Payson, Arizona, and is a full-time role. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in behavioral sciences or related field.
• Must successfully complete the Probation Certification Academy and Intensive Probation Institute within 12 months of employment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to other employees as needed.
• Performs closely structured supervision and observation of probationers and, where applicable, juveniles, including field contacts.
• Prepares written reports for the court and monitors restitution and probation fees.
• Conducts searches, breathalyzer/urinalysis collection and locates absconders; serves warrants and may arrest probationers.
• Testifies in court and uses defensive tactics training when necessary.
