Job summary

Harris County CSCD is seeking a CSO/Case Manager (Adult Probation) to supervise assigned clients and ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions, serving the Courts of Harris County, the community, and probationers.

The role requires promoting evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing, conducting face-to-face contacts, travel to different regions, urine drug screenings, and working late nights weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree conferred by an accredited institution.
• Must possess state mandated qualifications for a Community Supervision Officer.
• Must become certified in and maintain certification with the TRAS.
• Must meet minimum CJIS access requirements.
• Must have a valid Texas Class C Driver's License and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Supervises clients to monitor compliance with court orders.
• Refers clients to community resources to aid rehabilitation.
• Maintains accurate chronological records of client activity.
• Prepares monthly statistical reports.
• Assists Courts in revocation hearings as needed.
• Implements Motivational Interviewing in caseload management.
• May travel to Harris County CSCD regions as needed.
• Works at least one late night per week.
