S&P Global Market Intelligence in Dallas seeks a Principal, Private Market Valuation to lead valuations of illiquid investments, oversee engagements, and mentor junior staff. You will apply ASC 820, IFRS 13, and IPEV, reviewing models and delivering to clients and auditors.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, strong communication, and building client relationships while enhancing valuation tools and processes with AI-enabled data and scalable templates.

Qualifications

• CFA charterholder or progress toward a relevant professional qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex valuation conclusions.
• 5+ years of experience in valuation, financial advisory, investment banking, or related financial services.
• Experience managing engagements with institutional clients and auditors.
• Ability to lead engagements and mentor junior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead valuations of illiquid and complex investments (private equity, debt, derivatives).
• Oversee engagements from information gathering to delivery and review.
• Present valuation conclusions to clients and auditors; explain key assumptions.
• Mentor analysts and develop valuation capabilities within the team.
• Enhance valuation models, tools, and processes for consistency and scalability.
